If  you won’t be able to catch this shuttle: You need to use one of Havas busses or public busses to go to Taksim Square. There will be other shuttles to Sile at 19.00, 21.00 and 00.00 which says Isik Universitesi on it. You can also use those shuttles to reach Isik University Sile Campus however those shuttles are regular university shuttles so there might be a charge of 7 TL.

Shuttles from Taksim Square will leave at 14.00
One CM2009 OC member will be waiting in front of AKM (Atatürk Kültür Merkezi - Ataturk Culture Center) to meet you. He will be waiting there from 13.30 till 14.00 and shuttle will leave Taksim at 14.00 sharp we are unable to extend this time due to Istanbul municipality traffic regulations. If you need to contact him please use the number: +90 555 4813252
If  you won’t be able to catch this shuttle: There will be other shuttles from Taksim Square to Sile at 19.00, 21.00 and 00.00 which says Isik Universitesi on it. Where is the meeting point and where the shuttles leave in Taksim Square?

As you can see in the map, red circle shows where is chill out hostel and rectangle is AKM building. When you go straight to the Taksim Square via the famous İstiklal Street you’ll see this* building across the street. A Shuttle to Şile will be waiting for you in front of the AKM building.  And our lovely OC members will greet you there. See you in Şile.

FROM ESENLER COACH STATION TO TAKSIM (Public Bus 83O)

For Ataturk Airport: There are two ways we can suggest you to reach Taksim (Where the Hostel is and Shuttles to Sile will leave) public busses (Number 96T) and Havas busses. You need to get two tickets for public bus (1 ticket costs 1,50 TL so 3 TL in total) and you need to pay 8 TL for Havas busses. You might prefer public busses because they are cheap but you will be more likely to be standing and they usually have air conditioning problems. Havas busses are a bit more expensive but usually much more comfortable.

For Sabiha Gokcen Airport: There is only Havas buses to reach Taksim directly from Sabiha Gokcen Airport. There is no fixed time schedule for Havas busses from Sabiha Gokcen Airport but Havas guarantees to have at least one bus going to Taksim after every landing plane. Ticket costs 12 TL.

United Arab Emirates: Official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Ordinary passport holders can obtain their sticker type visas at the Turkish border gates upon their arrival.

United Kingdom: Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Ordinary passport holders can obtain three month-multiple entry visas at the Turkish border Gates. “British National Overseas ( BNO )” or “British Protected Persons ( BPP )” passport holders are NOT issued visas on the Turkish border Gates They  must apply to the Turkish representations abroad in order to get visa ( Hong Kong citizens holding BNO passport can obtain visa on the border gates ).

United States of America: Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. They can obtain three month-multiple entry visas at the Turkish border gates.

Uruguay: Ordinary and official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Uzbekistan:  Ordinary passport holders are exempt from visa requirement for their travels to Turkey up to 30 days. Diplomatic passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels to Turkey up to 90 days.

Vanuatu: Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey.

Vatican (Holy See): Ordinary and official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Venezuela: Ordinary passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days in each six-month period. Official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 30 days.

Vietnam: Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Western Samoa: Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey.

Yemen: Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Only diplomatic passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 30 days.

Zaire: Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey.

Zambia: Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey.

Zimbabwe: Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey.

Explanations:

* The term “official passports” covers diplomatic, service, special and official passports.

* Passports should be valid at least 90 days longer than the expiry date of the requested visa.

* The above information is for tourists. If you are going to study or work in Turkey, you must obtain appropriate visa from Turkish diplomatic/consular missions, prior to proceeding to Turkey.

* Despite the visa regime applied towards the citizens of a country, the travel document holders of that country need to obtain visa from Turkish missions beforehand.
