Cultural Medley is all about culture and fun!
But what is it exactly? Well, first, the word “medley” means “mixture”. Therefore, simply said, the Cultural Medley is a mixture of cultures; an international ESN event which generally takes places in October, November or December.
ESN people from various different countries meet to learn about each other’s culture, to see, taste and feel each other’s culture. Imagine the AGM or a Regional Platform without plenary sessions, serious discussions and getting up early…then you are in the world of the Medley, or MADley, as the organisers of the CM 2006 in Madrid decided to call the event.
The purpose of the Cultural Medley is for a country or a city to present itself to ESN. What is the country famous for? What does it have to offer? This is what matters. Participants are taken on a tour of cultural, historical and social heritage. In the end, it is all about socialising and getting to know the country, its ESN members and other ESN people from all over Europe without any pressure. A true Pallomeri feeling!
